Hybrid and Printed Circuit De-fluxing
Interlab offers both highly sophisticated, and very simple,
equipment configurations for flux removal.
The fully automated INTRAX line of
semi-aqueous, non-ultrasonically-agitated
de-fluxing systems is shown above. Where
fluxes are purely aqueous and water rinsable,
our ultra-pure
DI rinse/recirculation systems and HEPA-filtered
dryer units may be an ideal alternative.
The INTRAX was developed for the very
demanding needs of the hybrid industry,
using organic de-fluxing chemistries to
eliminate the most activated fluxes from
even fine-pitch geometries. Effective
agitation using proprietary non-ultrasonic
means ensures damage-free cleaning.
Ultrasonic agitation is also available as an
option.
2-stage high-purity DI rinsing using our
recirculation technology reduces water
consumption while ensuring parts purity,
which can then be confirmed using the
built-in resistivity monitor. Interlab’s
patented contamination-free
HEPA-filtered dryer then quickly
eliminates water droplets and even entrained
moisture. The INTRAX is available in 2
sizes, one for full-sized PC boards, and one
for hybrid circuit manufacture.
For water-rinsable fluxes, our Soniscan®
14-2 Rinser/Dryer features a high-purity DI
delivery, recirculation, and regeneration
system built into the overflow rinse bath.
This unit also includes resistivity
monitoring, capillary drying, and an MD-250
non-contaminating evaporative dryer, all in
a single compact console.
Interlab also manufactures a
DI recirculating sink and
flammable-solvent-compatible systems,
including IPA vapor degreasers, which can be
used for circuit cleaning.
